RECRUITMENT
AT DEPAUW |
DePauw University holds recruitment during spring semester rather than fall semester. The benefit of having the process second semester is that potential new members, first year students, really get to know the girls in all of the houses and make connections not only with the upperclassmen, but more importantly with students in their own grade.
There are 10 fraternities and 6 sororities on DePauw's campus. Find out more on our schools website at |
WHY ALPHA CHI? |
Why Alpha Chi? When a potential new member receives a bid from Alpha Chi Omega she is instantly welcomed for who she is by all of the older members. Once bid night is over there is no separation between underclassmen and upperclassmen Alpha Chi's, we all come together as sisters and form a bond that is unexplainable to others. We choose our members according to our five national standards: character, academic interest, financial responsibility, leadership ability, and personal development, however each women has her own unique qualities that bring our chapter to life.

Everyone makes you feel welcome, supported, and loved from the moment they meet you. -Miranda '18 I love Alpha Chi because I know I will grow as a person as I learn about all the journeys all my sisters have gone through. -Kate '16 I love Alpha Chi because it's where I have not only my best friends but my role models as well and it inspires me to be better everyday -Emily '16 I love Alpha Chi because everytime I walk through the front door I know I am with my family -Katie '18 I love Alpha Chi Omega because I'm surrounded by women who challenge me to be a stronger person and inspire me to follow my dreams. -Lexy '17 I love Alpha Chi because it's given me a home away from home with way more sisters and way more closets. -Bridgette '18 I love Alpha Chi because it has allowed me to become part of something bigger without leaving myself behind -Yuka '17 |
